Tesco 3.0Litre and 5.5Litre Slow Cookers – recall

The following notice has been issued by the retailer:

tesco slow cooker recalled

tesco slow cooker recalled

Tesco 3.0Litre and 5.5Litre Slow Cooker

Sold between 1st July and 31st December 2015

Model number: SCSS12 / SCSS13

Fitted with ‘KDJ’ brand Plugs

Model number information can be located on the white label attached to the base of the slow cooker.

KDJ plugs can be identified by the letters KDJ printed between the two base pins on the plug.

We have identified that on a very small number of units, the plug may unexpectedly break, exposing live parts – posing a risk of electric shock.

As a precautionary measure, we are recalling affected model numbers fitted with KDJ plugs from customers. No other Tesco products are known to be affected.

What you should do:

If you have an affected slow cooker please stop using it immediately.

Please return the affected product to store where a full refund or replacement will be given. No receipt is required.
